In a recent development, Rajarhat police station apprehended an individual accused of deceiving a job seeker with promises of employment at Kolkata Airport. The accused, identified as thirty-year-old Pranab Majumdar from Tehat in Nadia, had been residing in a rented house in Rajarhat while actively seeking employment during the lockdown.

Pranab's encounter with a neighbor, Sanjay Chakraborty, led to a fraudulent promise of a job at Kolkata Airport for Pranab and his son, accompanied by a demand for money. However, upon reaching the airport, Pranab realized he had fallen victim to a scam. Subsequently, a written complaint was filed at Rajarhat police station on the 6th of the month, leading to the arrest of the accused, Sanjay Chakraborty. The arrested individual was presented before the Barasat court, which remanded him to 14 days of police custody.
